Piracy or Parody: Coming Through the Rye still banned in the USA? Taking the recent case of Salinger, author of the classic The Catcher in the Rye, who has sued Frederick Colting who writes as John David California and his publisher for their unauthorised sequel Coming Through the Rye, this seminar will consider both legal and literary aspects of unauthorised sequels.
