Microstock library Lucky Oliver has announced it will close as of May 15, 2008 warning customers to use up their remaining tokens. In their press release the company laments the close due to lack of capital investment.

PA Photos, the photographic arm of the Press Association (the UK's national media agency,) now has a presence in Australia. PA Photos has an extensive and diverse sports, news and entertainment archive that stretches back nearly 150 years. Graeme Atkinson, Sales, Research and Assignments Manager (Australia), is based in Melbourne and informs us that since October last year they have a permanent photographer based in Sydney for the latest news and sports photos. Istockphoto Inc, one of the leading microstock libraries will be introducing subscriptions on May 26, 2008. These will include options for the amount of downloads per day, length of subscription and will also include the ability to buy top up credits. Subscriptions will allow access to all of Istockphoto's content including photos, illustrations, vectors, flash and video. The only indication so far of pricing is that packages will start as  low as $96 per month.
